FAQ

UNIST supports students with a “Basic scholarship” during the first and second years. If a student passes the Samsung recruitment test, which can be applied from the second semester of the second year, Samsung Electronics provides support under the name of a “Recruitment scholarship: from the time of passing during the third to fifth years.
-
You can take the recruitment test starting from the second semester of your second year, and you can take it until the second semester of your fifth year (before master’s graduation). If you do not pass the recruitment exam, you will not be able to receive a recruitment scholarship and will not be able to work for Samsung Electronics.
-
A bachelor’s degree can be awarded if the UNIST bachelor’s degree granting conditions are met.
-
You must work at Samsung Electronics for twice as long as the scholarship period.
-
Scholarship benefits may be adjusted or not paid depending on conditions such as poor grades, passing the recruitment exam, leave of absence, or criminal change.
-
If you do not enter Samsung Electronics, give up midway, or change your major, you must return all scholarships you received from Samsung Electronics.
-
The support received from UNIST during the first and second years is the same as for existing UNIST admissions, so there is no need to return the benefit details (excluding the department’s own operating expenses).
